I travel for work and I am a big fan of sushi. The food at this place is amazing. The flavors of the rolls are right on point, the sashimi is very fresh, and the people are fantastic. I love that this is a local business, and they’re doing a great job, I came back two days in a row. You have to try the salmon belly! And don’t forget to wash it all down with some delicious sake.

I absolutely love this restaurant and have been coming here for nearly 20 years. The staff are attentive and kind, and the food is consistently delicious and fresh. We have celebrated birthdays here and they make it special. Whether you’re going for a bento box or sushi (or both!), you will be happy with your meal. What I love is that it’s consistent from visit to visit. The sushi is especially fresh and, in the past, I’ve asked them to recreate some of my favorite rolls from other restaurants and they were happy to give it a go (and it came out great). We visited again a few weeks ago and I was so happy with our meal that I wanted to leave a review. I should have done this sooner… they deserve every 5 stars! Oh and if you’re a plant lover… check out the gorgeous ficus at the entry. It’s real and thriving!

The service was quick&staff were attentive, and friendly. The food was good. My usual(cherry blossom) was well put together. Because I seen a recommendation in the reviews for the Godzilla roll(deep fried yellowtail roll with a little spice to it)&the salmon belly, I tried them both and they delivered. The prices are decent. Altogether a great first time experience. I would return, and I would recommend. Give House of Sake a try.

House of Sake in Walnut Creek is an absolute comfort spot with phenomenal quality sushi! Every dish we tried was a delightful experience. The Spicy Holly Roll stood out with its bold, smoky flavors and scrumptious layers—an absolute must-try. The Godzilla Roll was a petite masterpiece, with a beautifully crafted tempura shell that was perfectly crisp and evenly dispersed. The Cherry Blossom Roll was another highlight, boasting a clean, fresh flavor and a stunning presentation that was almost too pretty to eat. We also enjoyed the Negihama Cut Roll (yellowtail and green onion) and the New Orleans Roll (spicy tuna cut roll)—both incredibly fresh and satisfying. The creative names for these simple yet perfectly executed rolls added a fun touch to the meal. Every bite hit the spot, and the attention to detail in both flavor and presentation is second to none. Highly recommend House of Sake for anyone seeking exceptional sushi and a memorable dining experience!

Consistent good food and friendly service. The cucumber salads were delicious to open for a good meal. Black and white roll is my regular go-to. We also ordered double hamachi roll, seared salmon belly nigiri, saba, sweet shrimp and seared salmon nigiri were all perfect. The fried shrimp heads were particularly tasty so we ordered more from the kitchen afterwards. Agedashi tofu and shrimp tempura were light and crispy. The yakitori was packed with skewed chicken and veggies in between. We will be back for more.

Going to start off by saying this was my first time here. Getting into the place there was a line and it was fully seated. Place is a decent size not to big not to small with very clean bathrooms. Wait wasn't too long about 5 minutes or so. The food to me was amazing only really got sushi but it was great. I'm generally picky with sushi so everything we got didn't disappoint. Overall great experience would love to come back and try some other rolls
